 |
Will
the color of my printed product match 100% to my artwork? |
| |
|
We go to
great lengths to ensure that the printed products’ color accurately represent the actual artwork. But
it is a fact that there is no 100% color matching
process can be done by current print technology in
printing industry. Therefore, we only guarantee that
you can get 85% - 90 % color accuracy of your printed
product. |

Why
can't I use RGB files? |
| |
|
Graphic
design programs allow you to design in different color
spaces. In condition, printers do not use the primary
colors in RGB; but rather, they use the primary inks
CMYK to reproduce the colors on a printed page. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Because
RGB and CMYK color spaces are entirely different,
they do not produce the same colors you see. Most
graphic design programs allow you to convert the color
space from RGB to CMYK and preview the CMYK result
on your monitor. If you were to have us convert your
colors from RGB to CMYK, we would do a generic conversion
that may not be to your liking. By having you do your
own conversions, you can control the color result
of your printed piece. |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Why the printing color looks darker than the monitor screen color? |
| |
|
This is because you're displaying one color space (CMYK) in a different one (RGB). The pixels in all the digital devices are different. Our window monitor is using RGB Color to display the image as the color is brighter than CMYK. On the other hand, the printing technology is using CMYK to print the products. It's not possible to print a file in RGB color. It will always be converted to CMYK before printing. Since some colors can't be converted into inks, working in RGB risks your colors changing significantly whether you print to a printer or are sending the file for color separations. Therefore, we cannot compare the color between these two outputs.

Can
I submit my artwork in JPEG file? |
| |
|
We recommend
that you do not submit JPEG files. It is because the
file compression that a JPEG file uses results in
a loss of quality and color when you print these images
on commercial printers. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Files used
for commercial printing require more bits of information
to produce quality images. What tends to happen when
you print a JPEG image on a commercial printer is
that the images become blurry. Enigo requires you
scan your images at a minimum of 300dpi and save your
images as PSD/ EPS/ TIFF format. Saving files in these formats
helps to preserve the images sharpness and file integrity.

| |
 |
What
are bleeding and why do I need to do so? |
| |
|
“Bleeding" is a term used in printing for images or graphics
that extend beyond the edge of the paper that get
trimmed off. If your design includes graphics that
go to the edge of the page, Enigo requires you to
extend these graphic elements a minimum of 0.2cm for
business card and 0.3cm for leaflet and other products
beyond the final size of your printed piece. |
